The Butler County Community College volleyball team improved to 7-1 with a 3-1 win over Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland last weekend. The Lady Pioneers dropped the opening set 26-24, but stormed back with 25-15, 25-14 and 25-18 victories in the remaining sets. Addison Henry (Redbank Valley) ha six service aces, Addison Say (Keystone) had 32 assists and Madelyn Nosel (Warren) had 15 kills to led BC3. Taylor Simon had 17 of the Lady Pioneers 71 digs, Sarah Lucas (both from Butler) had 16. Emmy Fisher (Seneca Valley) added 13 kills.
Butler graduate Carter Blystone shot a 5-over 77 last Friday to lead the BC3 men’s golf team to a sweep of three other teams in a match at Lake Arthur Golf Club. Colt Sprankle and Gannon Brown added 80’s as the Pioneers defeated CCAC 323-324. Westmoreland CCC placed third at 332. Jamestown (NY) finished at 334.
