Bob Dylan is releasing a 39-disc box set documenting the 1976 leg of his Rolling Thunder Revue tour. Titled The Rolling Thunder Revue: The 1976 Live Recordings, the collection arrives November 9 and contains 381 tracks, with 371 never officially released. The tour featured Joan Baez, guitarists Mick Ronson and T-Bone Burnett, and violinist Scarlet Rivera. Liner notes are written by Rolling Stone veteran Mikal Gilmore. A key driver behind the release was a European copyright law requiring recordings be released within 50 years or enter public domain — these recordings would have become public domain January 1, 2027. KISS are marking the 50th anniversary of their 1976 album Rock and Roll Over with an expansive box set, due November 6th. The collection features 130 total tracks, including 100 previously unreleased recordings and mixes. Original producer Eddie Kramer contributed a brand-new 2026 remix alongside the remastered 1976 original. The set includes rare demos, outtakes, and live recordings from KISS’s first Japanese tour at Budokan. A hardback book with over 100 pages features photos, liner notes by historian Ken Sharp, and new interviews with Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Peter Criss, and Kramer. New Order has issued a statement confirming that keyboardist Gillian Gilbert, not drummer Stephen Morris, is currently battling cancer. Confusion arose after Morris described a “pretty serious” illness in a recent Rolling Stone interview. Gilbert addressed the mix-up directly via the band’s Facebook page. “It is in fact me, who like many other people, is living with cancer,” she wrote, adding that comments were “misinterpreted” and asking for privacy during treatment. Morris and Gilbert previously stepped back from touring in June for undisclosed health reasons. Morris and Gilbert will both miss New Order’s upcoming South American tour. It remains unclear if Morris will attend New Order and Joy Division’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction in Los Angeles on November 14th. Story URL
