The Pittsburgh Pirates open a three-game series in Miami with the Marlins tonight. First pitch is 6:40pm. Pre-game on WISR begins at 6:15pm. Paul Skenes will start for the Pirates.
Both teams are outside of a Wild Card spot in the National League. Entering tonight’s game, the Marlins currently 60-59 and are 3-1/2 games out of a playoff spot. The Pirates are 58-62 overall and six games behind. Currently the Chicago Cubs, Philadelphia Phillies and the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Monday was the Pirates first off-day after 17 consecutive games.
