An annual event that brings engineering students from around the country together for a racing competition happens this weekend.
It’s known as the “Baja Butler Bash” and it pits 12 schools against each other with Baja SAE cars. These are single seat, open design cars that run around 30 miles per hour.
The race is at SwitchbackMX on Route 8 in Muddy Creek Township.
Some local schools will compete like Grove City College, but there will also be teams from Ohio State, John Hopkins, and more.
Gates open at 10:30 a.m. Saturday and the event is free to the public.
