The College Football Playoffs are set. The committee announced the pairings yesterday—Indiana, Ohio State, Georgia, and Texas Tech all received byes.
The first round features Alabama vs. Oklahoma, Miami vs. Texas A&M, Tulane vs. Ole Miss, James Madison vs. Oregon. Those games will start Friday, December 19th.
Notre Dame was the first team out of the playoffs; they are opting to skip the bowl season entirely.
Pitt will play East Carolina in the Military Bowl on December 27th.
Penn State will matchup with Clemson in the Pinstripe Bowl that same day.
Penn State will be hiring Iowa State coach Matt Campbell as their next head coach. Campbell has been with Iowa State since 2016.
