A portion of a busy highway in northern Butler County had to be shut down for a time Tuesday afternoon.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center just after noon for a tractor trailer on fire on Interstate 79 northbound near mile marker 106.
Crews from Slippery Rock, Prospect, and Portersville were among those responding to find the tires on the back of the semi on fire and spreading to the trailer. No one is believed to have been injured.
A portion of 79 needed to be shut down for about 45 minutes to allow for crews to get that blaze under control.
