The first College Football Playoff rankings of the fall was released Tuesday. Ohio State is the #1 team in the 12-team field ahead of Indiana, Texas and Alabama. If the playoff were to begin today, the first-round games would be: Memphis at Georgia, Virginia at Ole Miss, Notre Dame at BYU and Oregon at Texas Tech. The College Football Playoff will open with one first-round game on December 19th and three more on December 20th.
The Pitt football team landed in the #24-spot in the initial CFP Rankings.
