Kyle Larson won the Nascar Cup Series championship Sunday evening in Phoenix. Larson took advantage of a late caution to finish better than Denny Hamlin for his second career title. Hamlin led the most laps of the race and had a more than two second lead with three laps remaining when the caution came out forcing an overtime restart.
Overshadowed by the championship hoopla, Ryan Blaney won the race, passing Brad Keselowski in a thrilling finish after Keselowski stayed on the track while other drivers pitted after that late caution.
