Little League International announced Monday that a team from Tulsa, Oklahoma had been removed from the Southwest Region tournament after the organization said they used an ineligible player. Later in the day, a District Court granted a temporary restraining order, and will be able to play for a spot in next week’s Little League Baseball World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The earlier announcement allowed Texas West to defeat Louisiana 4-1 on Monday in what was supposed to be the region’s title game. But with the court order, Tulsa, who had already defeated Louisiana, will now meet Texas West today, with the winner advancing to Williamsport.
The first games hit the fields at the LLWS complex a week from tomorrow. (Wednesday, August 19th).
