Pretty Reckless frontwoman Taylor Momsen experienced an unusual incident while supporting AC/DC on their Power Up Tour, this time involving a venomous spider bite in Mexico City. “So it wouldn’t be an AC/DC tour if I didn’t get bit,” Momsen posted on Instagram. “This time a massive spider decided to take a chunk out of me and its venom did a number on my system so had to have the wonderful doctors in Mexico come and deliver quite the shot before the show last night.” The incident follows a similar occurrence in May 2024 when a bat bit Momsen onstage in Seville, Spain during “Witches Burn.” Heart’s Nancy Wilson advised her to “flush out your system with lots of water and follow all the doctors protocol exactly.” The Pretty Reckless continues touring with AC/DC through September 29th in Philadelphia, followed by their own dates concluding December 3rd in Glasgow, U.K. Story URL

Roger Waters is assisting his son Harry Waters in recruiting a vocalist for a new Pink Floyd tribute project called Legacy. The band plans to tour in 2027, focusing on Pink Floyd’s “golden era” and Waters’ solo material. Roger Waters fired Harry from his touring band in 2023 after a 14-year tenure playing organ and keyboard. “It was pretty miserable,” Harry told Rolling Stone in November 2023. “Everyone except two people got fired. But the other guys that got the sack weren’t his son, so it was doubly hurtful for me.” Now Roger Waters seeks a singer who can replicate his younger voice, stating “Back in the day, I could sing everything from the soft urgency of ‘Hello, is there anybody in there?’ from ‘Comfortably Numb,’ to the high-pitched scream.” Since leaving his father’s band, Harry has performed with Les Claypool, Sean Lennon, and Brit Floyd. Foo Fighters drummer Ilan Rubin shared an unusual story about his 2020 wedding reception involving Blink-182’s Tom DeLonge and Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor. During a recent podcast appearance, Rubin described arriving at his reception to find DeLonge showing something on his phone to Reznor. “I’m thinking, ‘What is he possibly showing him right now?'” Rubin recalled, knowing DeLonge’s fascination with extraterrestrial topics. After DeLonge left to get drinks, Rubin asked Reznor what he’d been shown. “He’s like, ‘that dude just showed me a dead alien,'” Reznor revealed. Rubin praised DeLonge’s authenticity, saying “Nobody else could conduct themselves in that way and it be normal, but he’s just so unapologetically him.” DeLonge founded To the Stars Academy of Arts and Science to study UFOs and received UFO Researcher of the Year honors in 2017 from OpenMinds.tv. Sean “Diddy” Combs appealed his 50-month prison sentence Thursday before the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, with his lawyers arguing the term was unfairly harsh. Combs was acquitted on racketeering and sex trafficking charges but convicted on two interstate prostitution counts. His attorney Alexandra Shapiro told judges “This was the highest sentence ever for this type of charge,” claiming Judge Arun Subramanian violated new federal guidelines against using acquitted conduct for sentencing. The hearing focused on whether the trial judge improperly relied on charges the jury rejected. Prosecutor Christy Slavik defended the sentence, citing Combs’ admitted domestic violence. The appellate court will issue a ruling in the coming months under expedited status. Story URL
