A fan experience around Chicago will coincide with NASCAR’s Chicagoland race weekend, July 4-5, featuring a Rolling Stones listening lounge inside a custom NASCAR show car. Music industry publication Pollstar has revealed its mid-year touring figures, with AC/DC topping rock acts globally by earning $120.3 million across 15 shows, selling over 907,000 tickets at an average price of $132. The Eagles ranked second among rock acts with $69.7 million from 15 shows, while Trans-Siberian Orchestra grossed $60.4 million over an impressive 109 performances. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band rounded out the top rock earners at $58.5 million from just 14 shows. Overall, worldwide grosses reached $3.16 billion, up 12.3% over 2025. Billy Corgan has announced plans to release more than 60 unreleased songs from his short-lived band Zwan. Speaking to Stereogum, Corgan said the original album Mary Star of the Sea will be remixed and remastered, with enough leftover material for roughly two additional LPs. “There’s so much Zwan stuff, I’m gonna put it out in different sets,” he said. “Sixty-plus unreleased Zwan songs that have never been released. Not just versions, like other songs.” Zwan formed in 2001 and featured Jimmy Chamberlin, Paz Lenchantin, David Pajo, and Matt Sweeney. The band released only one album before disbanding in 2003. Corgan and The Smashing Pumpkins are also currently touring in celebration of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness‘ 30th anniversary. Story URL
Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Daryl Hall, 79, announced this week that he recently underwent a successful kidney transplant. The Hall & Oates legend shared the news on Instagram, saying he received the organ “from a very kind and generous living donor.” Hall confirmed doctors called the procedure “a complete success,” adding he is already feeling better. “I should be back to normal in a few months, so get ready for more music and lots of Daryl’s House shows,” he wrote. Hall has also previously battled Lyme disease since the early 2000s.
