Canadian rock band Triumph has announced a fall 2026 US leg of their “Rock & Roll Machine Reloaded” tour, celebrating 50 years as a band. April Wine will serve as support. The run kicks off November 17th in Grand Rapids, Michigan, hitting cities including Baltimore, Cleveland, Las Vegas, and Seattle before closing December 12th in San Diego. Pre-sales begin August 25th using code RELOADED via Ticketmaster, with general sales starting August 27th. The leg follows Triumph’s spring North American tour — their first in 30 years. Founding members Rik Emmett and Gil Moore are joined by Phil X, Todd Kerns, and Brent Fitz. Welsh drummer Chris Slade, nearly 80, is retiring from drumming after a stroke left him unable to continue performing. Slade, who began his professional career at 16 with Tom Jones, announced the decision in a Facebook video. “It’s with a heavy heart that I’m announcing my retirement from drumming,” he said. “I’ve had good innings.” Slade revealed a stroke suffered roughly seven years ago has progressively worsened. “It’s got worse and I’m afraid that has screwed me up,” he said. Last month, he also injured his ribs after a fall, requiring hospitalization. Best known for joining AC/DC in 1989 and playing on their comeback album The Razor’s Edge, Slade also performed with David Gilmour and others throughout his decorated career. Story URL
Barry Manilow was forced to cancel three Las Vegas residency shows at Westgate Las Vegas after technical problems halted his August 20 performance just 40 minutes in, during “Can’t Smile Without You.” The 83-year-old singer then announced Friday and Saturday’s shows were also scrapped. “Due to technical and vocal problems, we’re unable to put on our show,” Manilow wrote on Instagram, adding that refunds would be processed automatically. The cancellations follow a string of setbacks for the legendary singer, who underwent surgery in December to remove a cancerous spot from his left lung. Despite the disruptions, Manilow remains scheduled to perform at Westgate this weekend and has multiple residency dates booked through December. Story URL
