A newly released deluxe edition of The Beatles’ Rubber Soul has pushed the classic album back onto the Billboard 200, debuting at No. 4 on the October 17 chart. The album first entered the top 10 on January 8, 1966, jumping from No. 60 straight to No. 1, knocking Herb Alpert’s Whipped Cream & Other Delights off the top spot. Rubber Soul held No. 1 for six consecutive weeks. That same January 1966 top 10 featured The Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley, Barbra Streisand, and two Herb Alpert albums. Three of those albums received Grammy nominations for Album of the Year. Rubber Soul‘s “Michelle” later won the Grammy for Song of the Year — the only Beatles song ever to claim that honor. Story URL
Sombr surprised fans at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on Saturday, bringing out Fleetwood Mac legend Lindsey Buckingham for a live rendition of the 1977 classic “Go Your Own Way.” Introducing the 77-year-old guitarist, Sombr called him “a f–king legend” and credited Buckingham as a major musical influence and mentor. Buckingham, dressed in a black T-shirt and leather jacket, played a burgundy electric guitar alongside Sombr on the song’s iconic chorus. Earlier that evening, Sombr also welcomed The Neighbourhood’s Jesse Rutherford to perform “Sweater Weather.” Sombr’s “You Are the Reason” tour continues October 13 in San Diego, with additional dates across the U.S., Mexico, South America, Australia, and New Zealand. KISS bassist Gene Simmons revealed during an interview on the Hollywood Raw podcast that both President Trump and Elon Musk are saved in his phone contacts. Simmons said Trump’s assistant sends him weekly or bi-weekly texts. “I’m certain I’m not the only one. I’m sure I’m just a name in the list,” he said. Simmons also described Musk, Buffett, and Jeff Bezos as extraordinarily impressive people. On Trump’s presidency, Simmons stayed neutral, saying, “The president was duly elected by more than half the country.” He added, “I respect the presidency. Because it’s the will of the people.” Simmons and Trump previously appeared together on the first season of Celebrity Apprentice in 2008. KISS was also named a 2025 Kennedy Center Honor recipient by Trump. Story URL
