Paul McCartney has confirmed Ringo Starr will appear on his upcoming album The Boys of Dungeon Lane, featuring their duet “Home to Us.” The collaboration was revealed during a listening session at producer Andrew Watt’s Los Angeles studio on April 16th. McCartney explained how Starr initially came to play drums but misunderstandings arose between Starr and Watt, leaving Ringo “a bit pissed.” McCartney transformed Starr’s contribution into a song about growing up in Liverpool. More confusion followed when McCartney sent the demo to Starr, who only recorded chorus vocals, making McCartney think he disliked the song. They cleared the air and Starr returned to add more drums. The track also features backing vocals from Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders and Texas’ Sharleen Spiteri, with Starr and McCartney trading vocals “line by line.” The Boys Of Dungeon Lane releases May 29th. Iron Maiden will skip their 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony due to scheduling conflicts with their Australian tour. Manager Rod Smallwood emphasized that “fans always come first and that the shows will of course go on.” The band thanked the Rock Hall for the honor but reiterated their priority is “our relationship with our fans above anything else, including awards and industry accolades.” The ceremony at Peacock Theater will induct Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Joy Division/New Order, Oasis, Sade, Luther Vandross and Wu-Tang Clan alongside Iron Maiden. Oasis claimed Major Tour of the Year at the 2026 Pollstar Awards for their reunion “Oasis Live ’25 Tour” during ceremonies held in Hollywood this week. Creed has unveiled their 2027 “Summer of ’99 and Beyond” cruise following four consecutive sold-out voyages. The Norwegian Joy will depart Miami April 17th 2027, visiting Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas, before returning to Florida on April 21st. Breaking Benjamin, Sevendust, Hoobastank, Fuel, Our Lady Peace, Hinder, Drowning Pool, Fastball, Sponge, and Shinedown’s Zach Myers join the lineup, with additional artists to be announced. Creed will perform two headline sets during the four-day voyage. The cruise features hosts Eddie Trunk and DJ Rock Feed, plus artist experiences, Q&A sessions, and immersive activities. Jelly Roll made a dramatic appearance at WWE WrestleMania 42 on Saturday, helping WWE Champion Cody Rhodes defeat challenger Randy Orton at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The 41-year-old performer launched himself from a neighboring table and delivered an elbow slam to announcer Pat McAfee’s chest, sending both men crashing through a table. McAfee, 38, was carried out on a stretcher while giving the middle finger to the crowd. The sports analyst later returned wearing a referee uniform but was taken out again by Orton. Weird Al Yankovic will appear in the updated Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster when it reopens next month at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida as “one of the celebs entertaining the people waiting in line (on a screen, not in person!)” for the new attraction.
