Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth reversed the suspension of Army pilots who flew Apache helicopters near Kid Rock’s Nashville home over the weekend. Hegseth announced on social media Tuesday that the suspension was lifted, stating “No punishment. No investigation. Carry on, patriots.” The incident began when Kid Rock posted a video showing two AH-64 Apache helicopters hovering over his property, which he calls “The Southern White House.” The Army initially suspended the crew and launched an administrative review. President Trump, when asked about the viral footage viewed 10 million times, said he hadn’t seen it but commented “they probably shouldn’t have been doing it.” The helicopters originated from Fort Campbell, Kentucky, with military officials calling the flyover timing with weekend protests “entirely coincidental. A 1.5-inch dreadlock from Bob Marley is being auctioned in the UK with an estimated value of $33,120. JC Auctions calls it the first genuine sample of the reggae legend’s hair offered at auction in two decades. Teenage fan Andrea obtained the hair during Marley’s June 22, 1978 BBC Top of the Pops performance of “Satisfy My Soul.” Andrea recalled asking Marley for the hair piece while on stage with the band. “He was chuckling away and I asked if I could take off a piece of his hair. He just kept nodding and chuckling and appeared amused by it so I twisted a piece of his dreadlock off,” she said. The winning bidder also receives Marley’s personalized autograph and Andrea’s Top of the Pops promotional flyer. The online auction ends Thursday, April 9th at 2:00 p.m. BST. Story URL
California hard rock band Tesla will release Homage, an R&B covers album, in July. The project showcases frontman Jeff Keith performing soul and R&B classics from artists like Sam Cooke, Etta James, and James Brown. Guitarist Frank Hannon called it “a very interesting record” that highlights Keith’s vocal abilities and soulfulness. The album includes Tesla’s versions of Supertramp’s “Give a Little Bit” and Climax Blues Band’s “I Love You,” plus covers of Temptations songs and other obscure tracks. Bassist Brian Wheat is producing the project, which also features one new Tesla song titled “Never Alone.” Hannon explained the covers showcase Keith’s singing compared to other vocalists from their era. Tesla will support Mötley Crüe on “The Return Of Carnival Of Sins” tour this summer alongside Extreme. Story URL
Metallica’s All Within My Hands foundation donated $125,000 to support Hawaii flood relief through three local organizations. The band distributed $50,000 each to the Hawaiian Council and Lāhui Foundation, plus $25,000 to Hui O He’e Nalu. Hawaii is experiencing its worst flooding in over two decades, with an estimated $1 billion in statewide damage. Subtropical weather systems called kona lows created torrential rains that saturated soil and caused rivers to surge to record levels. Hundreds of O’ahu homes sustained damage, along with farms worth millions of dollars. Power outages affected 115,000 O’ahu residents after the storms. Actor Jason Momoa was already working with local organizations when the foundation joined relief efforts. Since 2017, All Within My Hands has raised over $20 million for various causes, covering all administrative costs. Story URL
