The Nascar Cup Series will race at the Charlotte “Roval” Sunday afternoon in a playoff elimination race. The field of championship contending drivers will be cut to eight after the race. Coverage begins at 2pm on WBUT.
Kyle Larson won last year’s race on the hybrid track in North Carolina.
Chase Elliott and Ryan Blaney are the two locks into the next round of three races heading toward a championship, thanks to their victories in the current round. Larson, Denny Hamlin, Christopher Bell and William Byron are in the best position to advance – based on points.
Chase Briscoe is 21-points up over the cut line heading into this weekend. Joey Logano is in the eighth and final spot and is 13 points to the good. ahead of Ross Chastain. Bubba Wallace is 26 points back. Tyler Reddick is 29 points out and Austin Cindric will likely need a victory Sunday to advance.
