Nascar finally got its season-opening exhibition race in despite weather in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Ryan Preece won his first Cup Series event at the famed Bowman-Gray Stadium while battling sleet, snow and rain throughout the night. He joins Denny Hamlin and Jeff Gordon to win The Clash before winning a points-paying race. He has made 223 starts since 2015. William Byron was the runner-up
Next up is Daytona week. The “Duel” qualifying races will be run next Thursday night (February 12) and will be carried on WBUT beginning at 6pm. The Daytona 500 airs Sunday, February 15th on WBUT beginning at 1:30pm.
