The Pittsburgh Pirates open a three-game series with the St. Louis Cardinals tonight to close out a nine-game road trip. First pitch tonight is 8:15pm. Jared Jones will start for the Bucs. The Pirates will face two left-handed starting pitchers in the series, including tonight.
Both the Saturday and Sunday Pirates – Cardinals games begin at 2:15pm. WISR pre-game on Saturday begins at 1:50m.
Sunday’s pre-game begins at 1:15pm with the “Pirates Insider” Show. Braxton Ashcraft is scheduled to start.
The Cardinals begin the weekend one game under .500 at 67-68. They are 5-1/2 games out of a National League Wild Card spot. The Pirates are 65-70 and 7-1/2 back with 27 games to play.
