Quarterback Aaron Rodgers spoke with the media in Pittsburgh after the Steelers first mini-camp workout Tuesday. It was the first time he spoke publicly since signing a one-year contract. Rodgers discussed his respect for the team’s history, the fans and in particular head coach Mike Tomlin as key parts to the decision to play in Pittsburgh. He also stated that if the Steelers had not been interested in his services, he would not be playing in 2025.
Coach Tomlin briefly addressed the media as well, and did not have a comment about a missing T.J. Watt. He also said he was not concerned about the absence or Watt’s future with the team.
