Slippery Rock University cruised to a 42-0 win over Shippensburg on Saturday at Mihalik Thompson Stadium. It was the Rock’s 37th consecutive win in a night game.
Redshirt Freshman DaOne Owens made the first start of his career—the first freshman to start for the Rock since 2016. He finished 16-27 with 252 yards and four touchdowns.
The Rock will host Cal this Saturday in a Top 10 matchup. Kickoff at 6 p.m.
Pitt and Penn State were both on byes this weekend.
