The Slippery Rock University football team is listed among the top eight football teams that would qualify for the NCAA playoffs after the playoff committee for Division II unveiled its 2025 rankings for Super Region One. The Rock is currently the #7-team. That would put them in a potential matchup with Virginia Union. Kutztown, IUP and California are also teams among the top eight from the PSAC.
Rock running back Jay Jay Jordon received his second PSAC-West Offensive Player of the Week honor after his 176-yard rushing performance last week against Clarion. Jordan has now taken an opening handoff for more than 60-yards for a touchdown in back-to-back games.
