A local fire department has added a new vehicle to their fleet.
The Prospect Borough and Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Department recently announced the addition of a skid unit truck and trailer.
The vehicle is equipped with a 65 gallon per minute water pump and a 50 gallon Polly tank. The vehicle also has a fully-protected backboard with a longer six foot bed as well as winching capabilities from both front and back.
The department is looking forward to using the new vehicle to help local residents and those of surrounding communities in situations with difficult to reach areas such as brush fires and remote rescue along with snow and ice.
The Prospect Borough and Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Department appreciates community support and thanks all those who helped to make this addition possible.
