There were 78 new cases of COVID-19 and one additional death for Butler County over the weekend.
That now brings the death toll to 406 for the county according to the Department of Health.
Local hospitalizations were on the decline at the end of last week. As of Friday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital was treating eight patients for the coronavirus, with four COVID patients in the ICU.
That trend follows the statewide decline. There are now just over 2,100 patients being treated for COVID across the state; that’s down about 400 since last week.
