COVID cases and hospitalizations continue to trend downward in Butler.
According to the Department of Health, there were 250 new cases this week for the county. That’s down about 75 compared to last week.
Hospitalizations also are down. Butler Memorial Hospital was treating 12 patients for the coronavirus, with three in the ICU. That’s down 11 patients compared to last Friday.
However, the hospital reported three additional deaths due to COVID this week. That’s the first COVID related deaths at the hospital in nearly two weeks.
Statewide hospitalizations also fell to around 1,600.
