Slippery Rock University is setting another ambitious goal for their annual Day of Giving.
Tomorrow is the sixth year for the fundraising drive and the university says they hope to bring in $500,000. An anonymous donor has pledged a Give Greater Match of every dollar donated up to $300,000.
Last year, the drive collected more than $320,000 in donations to support scholarships, clubs, student organizations and more. The SRU Foundation is sponsoring several challenges for student athletic and academic groups.
SRU’s Day of Giving always coincides with the Founders’ Day celebration marking the anniversary of the first SRU class in 1889. Those interested in making a donation can visit the SRU Giving Day website, call the university, or mail a donation to the SRU Foundation.
