One person died in a motorcycle crash over the weekend on Route 422.
The accident happened Sunday afternoon around 3 p.m. in the eastbound lanes, between the Duffy and Mercer Road bridges.
Butler Township Police say a 22-year-old man was trying to pass a pick-up truck and clipped the rear bumper.
His motorcycle then went into a guiderail and he suffered fatal injuries.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was not revealed by police.
The crash shut down Route 422 East for an hour, before eventually reopening to one lane of traffic causing significant slowdowns for most of the evening.
