A popular summer vacation spot has reported that mosquitoes in the area have tested positive for West Nile virus.
Erie County officials have announced that mosquitoes in Harborcreek Township tested positive for the diseases that can cause inflammation of the brain.
The township is located next to main tourist attraction of Erie.
Officials say there have been no reported human cases and they will continue to test mosquitos in the area.
