The Black Crowes faced crowd tension during a recent Tampa show when fans began chanting “U.S.A.” after the band displayed their mascot dressed as Uncle Sam on screen. Frontman Chris Robinson rejected the patriotic display, reportedly saying “Thanks for the geography lesson” and “I don’t know what you have to be so proud of right now.” The exchange escalated when Robinson told booing fans, “For those of you fu-king booing us, some of us are not afraid. And we most assuredly are not fu-king ignorant!” Some audience members walked out while others cheered. The band continued their set with “She Talks to Angels.” Robinson rarely discusses politics publicly, previously stating “I’m not interested in politics. I’m more interested in poetry and art and people and experience.” However, he added “I know right and wrong” when discussing current events in a recent interview. Story URL
A mythical Guns N’ Roses documentary called Perfect Crime has leaked online after remaining unseen for thirty years. The 38-minute rough cut documents the band’s chaotic Use Your Illusion tour from 1991 to 1993, originally completed as a 90-minute film in 1994. The leaked footage includes behind-the-scenes material showing Roman legionary-costumed waiters, lederhosen dancers, and Axl Rose receiving osteopath treatment on an airport runway. Previously unseen content features band members jamming in hotel rooms, Rose recording in the studio, and Duff McKagan being stretchered off after a bottle injury. Two complete live performances from the 1992 Pasadena Rose Bowl appear in the documentary. Rose discusses his determination during a 1992 Auckland interview, saying “I always knew it was going to happen. I never gave up hope.” Story URL

Fab Morvan from Milli Vanilli announced he’s withdrawing from the Freedom 250 concerts in Washington D.C., joining seven other artists who previously dropped out. Morvan said “This is not what I signed up for” and called the event a “circus.” He was one of only two remaining performers after Morris Day, Young MC, Martina McBride, the Commodores, and Bret Michaels all exited following immediate backlash. President Trump posted over the weekend wanting to “cancel” the entire concert series, calling the booked acts “overpriced singers who nobody wants to hear, whose music is boring.” Morvan explained his decision: “I don’t want none of that. I know what it’s like to have a narrative being changed over and over until you don’t even recognize this narrative.” Only Vanilla Ice remains committed to performing, stating he’d “play for anybody” regardless of politics.
