A man is in the Butler County Prison after allegedly holding a woman captive in Butler City.
Police were called to a home in the 300 block of West Brady Street around 3:45 a.m. last Monday. During the call a woman could be heard screaming to be let out.
When officers arrived, they found 54-year-old Larry Alexander of Butler and the victim. Police say the victim accused Alexander of not allowing her to leave the home after several attempts and suffering from a seizure due to stress from the incident.
When police spoke with Alexander, he allegedly told police he called 911 because he thought he saw people in his home while using drugs. That is also why he not allow the victim to leave.
Alexander has been charged with false imprisonment and his bail was set at $30,000. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for today.
