The Slippery Rock area is dealing with the aftermath of significant flooding following yesterday’s storms.
The flooding started yesterday evening after heavy rain. It led to strong water currents flowing through the town. The water also caused flooding in some local stores.
Mayor Jondavid Longo issued an emergency declaration in order to help with cleanup.
Most of the water has subsided as of this morning, but drivers may notice some downed trees and wires in the area.
