The Slippery Rock School District is receiving grant funding to help with their special education program.
The district received a $20,000 “Developing Future Special Educators” grant from the Department of Education. The grant aims to develop students’ interest in careers in special education.
The district will be offering teacher-prep geared courses this year and hope it will inspire more students to get into special education.
