Three local artists are part of a statewide art showcase in Harrisburg that highlights the work of older artists.
As part of the second annual Older Artists of PA Showcase, works from Butler County residents Elaine Heitzer, Jack Herklotz, and Elizabeth Korczynski have been selected for display.
This year’s showcase specifically highlights older adults living with dementia but also includes categories for professionals and nonprofessionals. A reception for artists and their families was held earlier this week at the Governor’s Residence.
The selected pieces are displayed in the East Wing Rotunda of the Pennsylvania State Capitol throughout August as well as online through the PA Department of Aging website.
