Those interested in enjoying an upcoming meteor shower are invited to a special event later this week at Moraine State Park.
Tuesday’s Perseids Paddle will start at 8 p.m. and continue until 10:30 p.m. at the Pleasant Valley Launch Area on the South Shore.
The Park Naturalist will help visitors get a closer look at the Perseid Meteor Shower and the constellations of the late summer night sky.
This event is for ages 12 and older with those under 18 to be accompanied by an adult. Participants can bring their own kayaks. A limited number of kayaks are available. Life jackets are required. Pre-registration is also required by visiting the DCNR Calendar of events website.
