The closure of a portion of Ekastown Road for a pipe replacement project has been extended.
PennDOT originally announced the work in Buffalo Township between Parker Road and Meadow Street would take place yesterday but that project is continuing today to accomplish additional utility work.
The detour is a bit extensive, using Route 228, Route 356, and Route 28 into Allegheny County, then back to Ekastown.
The work is weather dependent.
