Crews battled a fire at a home in Adams Township last night.
The fire broke out around 12:40 a.m. at a home on Cypress Lane, which is in the Cypress Fields development.
The initial call came in as a smoke alarm activation, but when police got on scene they found smoke inside the attached garage and upgraded it to a structure fire response.
Additional crews were called in, and knocked down the fire quickly.
Most of the damage was contained to the garage.
Adams Township Fire officials believe a defective power tool battery was the cause.
