There are a number of contested primaries in Butler County this year—and the county’s Republican committee announced they’re supporting the incumbents.
State Representatives Darryl Metcalfe of Cranberry and Marci Mustello of Butler Township both received the endorsements of the committee. Metcalfe is facing Scott Timko in the 12th district, and Mustello matching up against Butler businessman Ryan Covert.
Grove City Lawyer Tim Bonner won his party’s endorsement for the 8th House District. He is seeking his first term in a special election later this month, but is also facing a contested primary against Scott Jaillet.
And Sean Parnell, a candidate in the 17th Congressional District, got the unanimous stamp of support from the committee. He is looking to face Congressman Conor Lamb in the fall.
Pennsylvania’s primary is April 28th.
