A Butler man has been charged after it’s alleged he assaulted a man and ran from the scene.
On May 27, Butler City Police were called to the 100 block of North McKean Street for a man that had been struck in the face and the alleged attacker had fled the scene.
During their investigation police identified 43-year-old Mitchell Dongilli as the alleged assaulter.
Charging documents accuse Dongilli of hitting the victim in the face with an elbow and fleeing the scene.
The victim required to be life flighted to a Pittsburgh Hospital and required a spinal surgery.
Dongilli was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, and recklessly endangering another person.
He’s awaiting a preliminary hearing.
