
The City of Butler has reached an agreement with the union that represents city employees on a new contract.
This new collective bargaining deal with Local 757/Council 84 of the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO is retroactive to January 1st through December 31st of 2027.
This three-year agreement includes a slightly larger increase in wages for the first year than has been standard. The new deal also provides uniformity of contracts with city police and firefighter unions.
This deal has been ratified by vote of union membership. The union represents the 14 employees of the streets and parks departments as well as city hall.
