A local organization is receiving financial help through a state grant in order to grow agricultural infrastructure.
Community Partnership Incorporated has been awarded nearly $12,000 through the Fresh Food Financing Initiative.
This money will be used for a new Artisan Hub location with planned demonstration gardens, a micro-storefront, and an outdoor farmstand to support the mobile farmers’ market, The Produce Cart. This is done with a goal to reduce food insecurity and provide more locally sourced, affordable food to underserved communities.
Recipients in 24 counties across the state received a total of over $3 million through this program.
