A former Ellwood City man will spend the next 21 years in prison for coercing a minor to produce and send child sex abuse material.
In January and February of 2023, 31-year-old Shayne Clapper initiated a sexual relationship with a minor. He then gave that minor a cellphone to receive sexual abuse material from the minor.
After being found guilty in Federal Court Clapper will serve 21 years in prison followed by 15 years of supervised release.
The case was brought forward by Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growth of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
