After strong storms yesterday and this morning, there will be less severe weather threats but more flooding threats could be on the way.
“The real central theme over the next couple of days is flooding as the primary threat,” Tim Cermak, a meteorologist with National Weather Service said. “The severe weather is really a secondary threat.”
It’s unclear when or where the rain will come down but its important to stay alert.
“People need to be alert and aware. If it starts raining really hard, understand that there could be higher amounts pretty quickly and conditions can change quite rapidly. Always have a plan in place and know in the back of your mind that there’s a chance for that to occur.”
Cermak said current projects for rain fall amounts can range from a quarter of an inch to over an inch, but amount totals could range higher if impacted by heavy rain.
