There were 66 new cases of COVID-19 for Butler County Friday.
That comes with 93 negative tests, giving today’s report a 41.5 percent positivity rate.
We’re still awaiting an update from Butler Health System, but as of Wednesday morning Butler Memorial Hospital was treating 18 patients for the coronavirus, with six people in the ICU.
Overall, the state added 3,384 new positive cases, which is the first time there has ever been over 3,000 cases in a day for Pennsylvania. An additional 38 deaths were reported by the Department of Health, along with 17,000 negative tests.
