Independence Health System will celebrate National Hospital week by putting a spotlight on local healthcare workers.
All IHS facilities, including Butler Memorial Hospital, will have their entrances lit with blue light to symbolize appreciation and support.
In addition, the Butler County Courthouse will display a banner as a show of solidarity and gratitude. This year’s theme is We Are Health Care.
National Hospital Week began as a single day in 1921 before expanding to a week in 1953 and is aligned to the birthday of Florence Nightengale.
