Motorists in Butler and Summit Townships should be aware of the next phase of a construction project on a busy road.
According to PennDOT, a lane restriction will go into effect on Route 68/East Jefferson Street as part of the Karns Crossing Bridge Project.
Construction begins today on a temporary road as crews start the second phase of the bridge project. Twenty-four-hour flagging will occur through November 26th. Work will then pause for the holiday and resume on December 2nd through December 19th.
The single lane closure extends from Eau Claire Street in Butler Township to the intersection of Route 38 (Oneida Valley Road).
The entire $65 million project will continue until spring of 2028.
