The Knoch High School construction project continues to move forward on schedule.
According to an update from the District’s construction manager to the board Wednesday night, paving is nearly complete as well as demolition of the wellness area, auditorium, and tech-ed area.
A new dust collector is in place and crews are working on expending the stage in the auditorium.
Board members also approved several change orders at their meeting totaling about $73,000 to move wiring in the area of a wheelchair lift and install a new gas line. Additional change orders were approved to repair damaged plaster in the auditorium ceiling as well as demolish an unused chimney to allow more space for lockers.
Board members will tour the completed spaces sometime in late August with a public open house planned for around the time the new school year begins in early September.
