Many local municipalities will receive a portion of liquor license fees paid to the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board by approved licensees.
The board recently announced that municipalities within Butler County will collect over $38,000 in total as fees range from $125 to $700 depending on the type of license and the population of the municipality.
Cranberry Township will collect nearly $14,000 while Butler Township has been awarded nearly $6,000. Adams Township will collect nearly $4,000 and Butler City will receive just over $2,000. Other smaller local municipalities will see between $100 and $1,400.
Municipalities have flexibility in allocating and spending the twice-yearly returned license fees to meet local needs.
