The City of Butler is bringing attention to residents that volunteer in ways that benefit the community.
In recognition of Extra Mile Day earlier this week, Mayor Bob Dandoy asked three local residents responsible for coordinating organizations for nominations of people deserving of recognition.
As a result, proclamations were presented to Kathy Kerry and Bernie Carr of the Penn Theater, as well as Brenda Cole of Butler AM Rotary and Art Black who volunteers with Butler Farmers Market and the Lions Club.
Dandoy thanked them and all residents who show love for the Butler community through opportunities to volunteer their time and efforts.
