High School seniors and their family members are invited to participate in an upcoming online program about applying for financial aid.
The Mars Area High School Guidance Office is hosting a virtual presentation titled FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) Line by Line on Tuesday starting at 6 p.m. A representative from the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) will review each question on the application and explain how answers are used after submission. Those who are interested in participating in this webinar should contact the Mars guidance department.
Also, students in the Mars Area High School German Club are holding a Socktoberfest Sock Drive Tuesday through next Friday. Sock donations will help Pittsburgh’s homeless residents through the Harvest Street Mission. Donations of new socks can be dropped off at any of the Mars Area School District buildings during school hours.
