Iron Maiden have revealed a surprise 2027 North American tour, marking the third and final leg of their 50th anniversary Run for Your Lives Tour. The band originally planned to rest from live performances that year but changed course. The 16-show run kicks off April 14 in Tacoma, Washington, wrapping May 11 in Belmont Park, New York. “We’ve been enjoying this last leg in the USA and Canada so much that we all had a chat and decided we should take the show to parts we missed,” bassist Steve Harris said. British bands Bullet for My Valentine and The Raven Age will support — the first three-British-band touring bill since 1983. Story URL
Glenn Hughes, known for his work with Deep Purple and Black Sabbath, is recovering after a 10-hour open heart surgery. The bassist and singer announced on Instagram that he had returned home following an eight-day hospital stay at UCLA’s Ronald Reagan Medical Center, where he underwent an aortic valve replacement — his second such procedure, having had the same operation in 2013. “Each day as I move forward, I am getting my energy back,” Hughes wrote. The surgery comes months after he canceled a six-week tour and announced his retirement from touring. Hughes got his start with British hard rock group Trapeze before joining Deep Purple in 1973. His most recent solo album, Chosen, was released in 2025. Story URL
Sean Combs has been moved to FCI Allenwood Low in Pennsylvania after a contraband scandal at his previous facility. The 56-year-old had been serving a 50-month sentence at Fort Dix, New Jersey, following his conviction on transportation to engage in prostitution charges. Reports alleged Combs enjoyed a lavish prison stay, directing thousands of dollars to inmates for favors, including gourmet meals. He allegedly obtained contraband including Hennessy, antidepressants, and a cellphone used to browse Instagram. Following NBC’s exposé, his release date was pushed to March 2028. Combs also reportedly suffered a non-life-threatening head injury and was briefly hospitalized. The Bureau of Prisons denied reports he was involved in a fight with a drug kingpin. Story URL
