Independence Health System has received special recognition for efforts in support of patient safety.
The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania recently announced that Butler Memorial Hospital recently earned 2026 Excellence in Patient Safety recognition.
This initiative honors Pennsylvania’s top-performing hospitals that have demonstrated low rates of health care-associated infections.
20 hospitals were recognized this year based on their performance during 2025 using data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Healthcare Safety Network.
